I was born in
Manhattan, New York, and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where I
learned to sing and play guitar. I received my secondary education at
Antilles Military Academy in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, developing a
lifelong passion for fitness along with my education.
I originally intended to pursue a career
in the US Air Force. After the armed forces rejected me due to an
"excessive refractive error" in his eyesight, I shifted gears and enrolled
in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
At MIT I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics.
But more importantly, I also discovered the thrill of performing, first as
the lead singer with a campus rock band, and then as an actor with the MIT
Musical Theater Guild.
After MIT, I have continued to develop my
art. I have performed in several community theater productions, most
memorably as Bernardo in West Side Story, the King in
The King And I, Lt. Cable in South Pacific, and Che
in Evita. I have also appeared as an extra in the Miramax
film Next Stop Wonderland, and playing small parts in
several independent films. I have also written numerous musical
compositions, most recently Tales From The Infinite Corridor,
a musical play based on my experiences at MIT and Lewis Carroll's
Alice In Wonderland story.
I currently live in Rochester,
New York with my wife and four children.
When I'm is not writing music,
acting, singing, lifting weights, or playing with my kids, I work as a
software developer to pay my bills.
