Biography:
I
started weight training at the age of 18 and did a lot of cardio, I did it
mostly to lose weight. I became more of a cardio queen and did a lot of
aerobics. After my 2nd daughter was born I started teaching step class and
cardio kickboxing. When I hit the age of 30 my body started to change. I was
keeping more fat around the hips and thighs and did not like the way I looked. I
started weight training more seriously and about 4 years ago decided to try Body
For Life. I needed to clean up my eating habits. After 12 weeks I looked great
and decided to take it further and prepare for figure competitions. I will be
entering my 3rd year competing and within that 4 years I’ve also
become a personal trainer and fitness model.

What makes a great fitness model?
Living the life following a good nutritional program, actually lifting weights
and cardio. Being a well- rounded person and a role model for healthy living.
You need all three aspects not one or two.
What are the secrets to become a fitness model?
Getting exposure, getting you’re face seen and networking. It’s hard work and
you just keep trying there are many girls out there trying to get into fitness
modeling.
What did you do to become a model?
I
send photos to magazines and websites to be profiled. When I go to competitions
I also set up photo shoots.
What are the benefits to being a fitness model?
I
like being a role model for other women especially the 35 and older group. It
shows you can be a little older with children and look as good or better than
the 20 somethings.
What is your favorite things about being a fitness model?
I
think it’s fun and helps me stay in shape. If I have a photo shoot or contest
coming up it helps me stay on track. I’ve also met a lot of great people.
How do you stay beautiful?
Eat
healthy, Weight train, cardio and I stay very active.
How do you stay fit, do you have a personal trainer, chef, work out, what do you
do?
I
have a trainer Mike Davies he comes up with some of my training and diet. I take
it from there. It’s up to me to follow that plan.
How do you keep you skin healthy and fresh looking?
I wash my face twice a day and use a good moisturizer I use Mary Kay
cleanser and moisturizer. . I will use a salt or sugar scrub a couple times a
week. And use a moisturizing lotion on my body. My favorites are from Bath and
Bodyworks.
What do you believe is good health and fitness?
You
need all three elements a good nutrition plan, weight training, and cardio. Also
rest is very important your body can’t recover with out it. A good 7-8 hours per
night.
Do you prefer to tan or use tanning lotion?
I
do both when I’m preparing for a competition I will start tanning about 6 weeks
out. I use a good tanning lotion to protect my skin while tanning in a bed. When
I’m not getting ready for a show I will use a self- tanning lotion.
First
Interest In Fitness/Bodybuilding
My
first interest was about 16 years ago. I thought Corey Everson was awesome and
wanted to be like her. But at the age of 20 I didn’t have the discipline to
compete. I was too busy with my social life to commit to that type of lifestyle.
Beer and Bodybuilding don’t mix very well.
Goal Within The modeling/ Fitness Industry
I
would like to be featured in Oxygen Magazine. Those women are my role models.
Life Goals
Be
able to open a gym and become a personal trainer full time instead of part time.
