Biography:
I
have been in the fitness industry for 15 years. As a qualified personal trainer
in the ‘90’s I want over to the Nutrition side the last 10 years. My husband
and I have our own Sport Supplement company, can have a look at
www.missfitness.co.za and we have 2
beautiful boys, age 6 and 3.
Fitness Model, Competitor History:
Been competitive since 1993 and have received my country colors in bodybuilding
then. Have been competing Fitness the last 5 years whereby I have placed under
the top 3 in various local shows. Only started gymnastics at the age of 30, so
have a slight disadvantage against the other fitness competitors that have that
kind of back ground, but each show is still a challenge for me to better myself.
Career Highlights:
Being one of the South African Gladiators in 1999 and 2001 must have been the
highlight of my career. It was so much fun, and to be a role model to the kids
was awesome. Now, what I am doing now as a Nutritionist is the best. Just to
help people and guide them in Nutrition and see the transformation and see them
set free from the bondage food can have, is the best feeling ever!
Sports/ athletics:
At school level, victrics ledorum in athletics. Unfortunately stopped after I
left school, but as mention, am now doing gymnastics, even at the age of 35 and
will keep on as long as I can
Bodybuilding:
as mention have my country colors in the sport, but because the women have taken
bodybuilding too far, I decided to move over to Fitness which is far more
marketable/pleasing and feminine. That is what it should be about, and Cory
Everson was the cut off for me in the body building industry.
Figure:
Have not done any figure shows, but am planning on getting involved here more
often just because of my big build. The figure divisions do prefer the bigger
women to the bikini divisions.

Right diet, enough training and beauty comes from with in so I do spend my quite
time with God

I do everything myself. Have always been able to push myself. Have my husband
that keeps and eye on me

Do you prefer to tan or use
tanning lotion? I don’t do
tanning lotions, only crème tan spray. The self tan makes my skin yellow because
of my olive under tone. Tanning I will only do a maximum of an hour. It makes
you age quick, so too much of it is not good either, but being brown is part of
the image, so in winter I will also include 2 sessions of sun bed tanning to
keep my color

Interest In Fitness/Bodybuilding
Goal Within The modeling/
Fitness Industry. My goal
as the Organizer of the Fitness Pageant in South Africa, is for it to become the
biggest show, Internationally. We in Africa do things a little different.
Without you, the competitor, I don’t have a show, and visa verse. So I do
everything in my power to make the show the experience of a life time.
Everything from hair, nails, make-up, meals, after party, etc etc is all
sponsored for the top 20 in each division. And the atmosphere is that of great
fun, so hope to see you all there in the future !

Pre-contest Diet
Because of my body type being
endo / meso I don’t do well on carbohydrates, so I do the typical high protein /
high fat diet
Breakfast
, 60g mozzarella cheese
with 60g clod meat (lean)
snacks,
100g chicken breast with 1
tbs flax oil, lunch and snack the same
lunch,
dinner
200g lean protein + ½ and avo
(or olives)
One the weekend I will have oats,
salads and vegetables as my carbs
Supplements you use
Pretty much everything, from
multivitamins, CLA, coral calcium, protein powders, ethyl ester (creatine) which
works really great for strength, endurade (one of our products that help me keep
up with the hectic gymnastic program). Because we have our own supplement
company we can take everything, but for your averaged person it can becaome
quite pricy , so what I mentioned now would be the most important, the rest are
just because it is there for me to use (join support, vit c, vit E, potassium
and the list goes on)
Regular Diet
Bread is my weakness so I
will have rye toast for breakfast with mozzarella, chicken salad during the day,
or rye crackers with chicken or tuna mayonnaise or just some protein bars as
snacks. Supper will be protein with veggies or salad and on the weekend I enjoy
my glass of wine. I never have alcohol and starch in the same meal.

Contest Work Out Routine:
45 – 60min cardio 5:00 AM x 5
per week, gymnastics, dance x 2 / week , PM and weight training PM or AM(4 x per
week)
Off season work out routine
Pretty much the same, I will
just take a break more often and miss out on a work out if I am tired. As a
Nutritionist I need to stay in good shape the whole year round so can’t pick up
too much off season (max 4 kg)

Favorite
body part to work:
My chest was my best when I
was still doing bodybuilding, so now have to be carefull to do any chest, apart
from push-ups and one arm push-ups to keep up with the fitness routines,
otherwise my chest is too big. Now in the Fitness industry I enjoy my leg
workouts. Keeps my ass tight !!! Which as a pear-shape girl in my previous life
(hi, hi) I need to work 3 x per week with different lung workouts
Ideal
vacation:
Any Island
where I can lie in the sun and do water sports (well, before my kids came), now
with the boys, still enjoy the beach, but don’t get to lie too much
Least favorite food
Can’t do the egg white thing
any more and can’t stomach tuna with out mayonnaise !!!
Ideal Man:
My husband,
blond, blue eyes, stunning build, very supportive
and lets me do my own thing, up to a point. Pushes me to the limit !!! Would
just have liked him to be more affectionate, probably not always the time for
that between 2 kids, training, and running 2 businesses

not very affectionate either, so my own fault that I’m not getting enough from
my husband, love balance and pretty much life in general

I hate people that are false

Love a beautiful sunset, or a
good glass of wine. Love my friends company on the weekends and spending time
with my husband and kids away from the work. Love my family and to be there from
them (my brother, sister and mom, my dad died before I was born)
