What makes a great fitness
model?
The fact that I work out and maintain my figure all year
along, rather than letting it all go most of the time then extreme
diet right before a show.
What are the secrets to
become a fitness model?
1) You must know how to market & network yourself. Gotta do
what it takes to get your name out there.
2) Understand that most likely, fitness modeling won't be a very
financially rewarding career, but having the opportunity to
influence and inspire others to get into shape will make up for it.
3) Accept the fact that you will be dieting all year long with very
few cheat weeks.
What did you do to become a
model?
I've always dreamed of being a
model, but never thought of myself as pretty enough. Then one day,
I was asked if I was a model, so I looked into it on the web and did
my first shoot not long afterwards.
What are the benefits to
being a fitness model?
Having to stay in shape all year long.
What is your favorite things
about being a fitness model?
When people ask me how I got my
body; what is my secret!
How do you stay
beautiful?
By believing that I am beautiful inside as well as outside
How do you stay fit, do
you have a personal trainer, chef, work out, what do you do?
I am a personal trainer so I know what I need to know for exercise &
diet.
How do you keep you skin
healthy and fresh looking? Well, I have adult acne, but I
have it mostly under control with medication, Oil of Olay skin
program, good cosmetics & eating well.
What do you believe is
good health and fitness? When you do what is good for your
health; eat well, exercise, refrain from smoking, drugs, or anything
else that is known to be bad for you. Another aspect is being able
to perform daily activities with ease, and the overall good feeling
you naturally get when you start exercising.
Do you prefer to tan or
use tanning lotion? Pro-Tan & Mystic Tan. No more sun or
beds for me.
First
Interest In Fitness/Bodybuilding: when I was 6 watching my
mom work out at the gym, through the nursery room window.
Goal Within The modeling/ Fitness Industry: I would
love to be the next Monica Brant
Life Goals/
Dreams: To own my
own business, get married to a handsome sweetheart and have a house
full of little football players and cheerleaders.
What is your Pre-contest Diet
Eat every 3-4 hours, 25g
protein+25g complex carbs per meal and 1 cup of clean veggies with
every meal. Since I do alot of jogging and because I have blood
sugar issues, dropping my carbs too low can potentially be fatal for
me.
Supplements you use:
Dedicated Woman MRS, Kre-Alkyline, Power Crunch Bars
What is your Regular Diet,
same? Pretty much the same as pre-contest, but with a few
more cheat meals during the week. I'll admit I will drink more diet
soda rather than water. I'm a very reasonable eater throughout the
year.
Contest Work Out Routine:
The only thing I do different pre-contest is that I pick up the
cardio to burn off the fat. I stay pretty much the same year around.
And I don't extreme diet since I have blood sugar issues.
Off season work out routine: No routine. I just go
in and work out. I've been doing it for so long that all I need to
know is what I've already worked out that week.
